ANOTHER
Cyberpunk Fantasy Skin for OD&D

Just what it says on the tin. Another exemple of how you don't really need to change anything to change everything. Also OD&D is the best game. It sounds like this in my head.

1. Ability Scores
Roll 3d6 in order for Strength, Intelligence, Technology, Constitution, Dexterity and Charisma.
2. Character Types
Available classes are: Investigator, Soldier, Hacker, Techno-Shaman or Neuromancer.
Investigators may use light armor and weapons, excel at finding clues and figuring out when people are bulshitting them or hiding something, and use the Clerics numbers (HD, XP, Saves, Attacks, etc.)

Soldiers work exactly like Fighters.

Hackers are like Investigators, but instead of detective stuff, they can get into any system given enough time (roll d6 to find out how much time it takes in one minute-long rounds, with 6s exploding - Referees roll for the maximum number of rounds before being detected by counter-measures and decides the consequences thereof based on the security system being faced. More dice means an easier system to crack. Ask players if they want to keep trying every round as pressure rises).

Techno-Shamans are Clerics. Replace "Turn Undead" by "Command Spirit", and add a "Conjure" spell to their magic books.

Neuromancers are Magic-Users. Their magic is 25% nanomachines, 25% actual magic and 50% unexplained phenomena ala Psychic Powers.

3. Alignment
Those who side with Law are loyal to a larger organization like the police, state or a corporation.
Those who side with Chaos are loyal to a larger organization like freedom fighters or black hats.
Those who side with neither are loyal to themselves.

4. Equipment
Use Stars Without Number (there's a free edition). Ignore variable weapon damage values.

MONSTERS & FACTIONS

Just use your favorite Sixth World sourcebooks, ignoring all the tedious crunch.

THE SPRAWL & URBAN ADVENTURES

Create city blocks or areas of operations for specific missions like Dungeons.
You can even use the random dungeon stocking rules.

Monster, Trick or Trap, Treasure; all of these don't have to be strictly Fantasy.
